Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
- 4 small eggs
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika or chili flakes (optional)
Toppings (Optional)
- Chopped chives or parsley
- Shredded cheese
- Cooked bacon bits
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat while you prepare the avocados.
- Prepare Avocados: Scoop out a small amount of the avocado flesh from the center of each half to make enough room for the egg to fit comfortably.
- Stabilize Avocado Halves: Place the avocado halves in the air fryer basket. Use foil rings or small ramekins to keep the halves stable and upright if necessary.
- Add Eggs: Crack one small egg carefully into each avocado half, taking care not to break the yolk. If needed, crack the egg into a bowl first and spoon just enough egg to fill the space.
- Season: Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and paprika or chili flakes over the eggs as desired.
- Air Fry: Cook in the air fryer for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the egg whites are fully set and yolks reach your preferred level of doneness.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the avocado eggs carefully from the air fryer. Top with chopped chives, parsley, shredded cheese, or bacon bits if using. Serve warm for the best flavor.
Notes
- Use small or medium eggs to ensure they fit inside the avocado halves without overflowing.
- If the egg white overflows, crack the egg into a separate bowl and spoon in just enough to fill the avocado cavity.
- Foil rings or ramekins help keep avocado halves stable in the air fryer and prevent tipping.
- Adjust cooking time slightly based on your preferred yolk consistency.
