Description

Crispy and flavorful Air Fryer Chicken Caesar Cutlets are perfect for a quick and healthy meal. Coated with a parmesan-panko crust and marinated in Caesar dressing, these chicken cutlets cook to golden perfection in the air fryer, delivering a juicy and tender bite without the extra oil.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Marinade

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced in half lengthwise)
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing (plus more for serving)

Breading

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Other

  • Cooking spray
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken cutlets in a bowl or zip-top bag and coat thoroughly with Caesar dressing. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours, to allow the flavors to infuse.
  2. Prepare the Breading Mixture: In a shallow bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings.
  3. Coat the Chicken: Remove each chicken cutlet from the marinade, letting any excess dressing drip off. Press each cutlet firmly into the breadcrumb mixture to fully coat on all sides.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  5. Cook the Cutlets: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the breaded chicken cutlets in a single layer inside the basket. Spray the tops of the cutlets lightly with cooking spray to promote browning. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time, until the crust is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Rest and Serve: Let the cutlets rest for 5 minutes after cooking. Serve warm with extra Caesar dressing or over a Caesar salad, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For extra crispy cutlets, substitute crushed cornflakes for the panko breadcrumbs.
  • Slice the cooked chicken and serve over a Caesar salad for a lighter meal option.
