- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Dough and Finish
- 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the ideal cooking temperature for crispy calzones.
- Prepare Filling: In a bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, and Parmesan cheese until well combined to create a creamy, cheesy filling.
- Roll and Divide Dough: Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a flat surface and cut it into 4 equal pieces to form the calzone bases.
- Fill Dough: Spoon the chicken Alfredo mixture into the center of each dough piece, being careful not to overfill to allow proper sealing.
- Seal Calzones: Fold each dough piece over the filling to form a pocket and press the edges firmly to seal and prevent leakage during cooking.
- Brush with Olive Oil: Brush the top of each calzone with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to enhance flavor and promote browning.
- Air Fry Calzones: Place the calzones in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Remove the calzones from the air fryer and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious homemade Chicken Alfredo Air Fryer Calzones!
Notes
- Make sure to seal the edges tightly to prevent the filling from leaking out during cooking.
- You can substitute the Alfredo sauce with your favorite cream sauce or add spinach for extra nutrition.
- Refrigerated pizza dough makes preparation quick, but feel free to use homemade dough for a fresh taste.
- Serve with a side salad or marinara sauce for dipping.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, these calzones can also be baked in an oven at 400°F (204°C) for about 15-18 minutes.
