Description

Chubby Hubby Clusters are a delicious no-bake treat featuring a decadent blend of semi-sweet chocolate, peanut butter chips, and crunchy pretzels and salted peanuts. This quick and easy recipe results in sweet, salty, and crunchy clusters perfect for snacking or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Mixture

  • 1½ cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • ½ cup butter, cut into pieces
  • ¼ cup peanut butter

Mix-ins

  • 2 cups pretzel sticks, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup salted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Mix and Melt Chocolate: In a large bowl, combine the semi sweet chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, butter pieces, and peanut butter. Microwave on high for 45 seconds, then stir. Microwave again for 30 seconds and stir until the mixture is smooth. If any chocolate is not fully melted, return the bowl to microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each until completely melted.
  2. Add Pretzels and Peanuts: Stir the roughly chopped pretzel sticks and salted peanuts into the melted chocolate mixture, ensuring every piece is coated well with chocolate.
  3. Form Clusters: Drop spoonfuls (about a tablespoon each) of the chocolate-coated mix onto wax paper laid out on a flat surface.
  4. Chill Clusters: Place the wax paper with the clusters into the refrigerator and chill for about 30 minutes or until the clusters are firm and set.
  5. Optional Drizzle: For an extra peanut butter flavor, drizzle melted peanut butter over the top of the clusters once set.
  6. Store: Store any leftover clusters in an airtight container to keep them fresh.

Notes

  • Microwave times may vary based on the power of your microwave; adjust accordingly to avoid burning the chocolate.
  • You can substitute salted peanuts for unsalted if you prefer less saltiness.
  • Ensure pretzels are roughly chopped to allow easier mixing and better cluster formation.
  • For a twist, try adding mini marshmallows or dried fruit to the mix.
  • These clusters are best stored in a cool place or refrigerator to maintain their firmness.
