Description

Halloween Lush Dessert is a festive, no-bake layered treat perfect for spooky celebrations. Featuring a crunchy chocolate cookie crust, creamy cream cheese layer, chocolate pudding, and colorful vanilla pudding tinted in Halloween hues, this dessert is topped with whipped cream and fun sprinkles for a delightful, eye-catching finish.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 20 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping (plus more for topping)

Pudding Layers

  • 1 (3.4-ounce) box instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 (3.4-ounce) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk, divided
  • Orange and purple food coloring

Garnish

  • Halloween sprinkles or candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Make the crust: In a medium bowl, combine the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish to create an even crust layer.
  2. Prepare the cream cheese layer: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in 1 cup of whipped topping, then spread this mixture evenly over the cookie crust.
  3. Make the chocolate pudding layer: Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with 1 1/2 cups cold milk in a bowl until thickened, about 2 minutes. Spread this chocolate pudding over the cream cheese layer, smoothing it out evenly.
  4. Prepare and layer the vanilla pudding: In another bowl, whisk the vanilla pudding mix with the remaining 1 1/2 cups cold milk until thickened. Divide the vanilla pudding into two portions, tint one portion with orange food coloring and the other with purple food coloring. Gently layer each colored portion over the chocolate pudding, smoothing with a spatula between the layers for clean separation.
  5. Add final toppings and chill: Spread additional whipped topping over the colorful pudding layers. Decorate with Halloween sprinkles, candy eyes, or crushed cookies for a festive look. Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours to allow it to set before serving.

Notes

  • This dessert can be made a day ahead and kept refrigerated to enhance flavors and ease preparation for your event.
  • Feel free to customize the layers with different colors or festive decorations to match your Halloween theme perfectly.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese and pudding for the best creamy texture and flavor.
  • Ensure puddings are fully thickened before layering to prevent mixing of colors.
