Scale
Rolls & Filling
- 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 8 breakfast sausage patties, cooked
- 6 slices cheddar cheese
Topping
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the assembled sliders.
- Make Scrambled Eggs: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook gently, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are softly scrambled and fully set but still moist.
- Prepare Rolls: Slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls horizontally in half, keeping the individual rolls connected, so you have a top and bottom slab.
- Layer Sliders: Place the bottom half of the rolls into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Evenly spread the scrambled eggs over the rolls, then layer the cooked breakfast sausage patties on top. You may cut the sausage patties to fit the width of the rolls. Next, arrange the cheddar cheese slices evenly over the sausage layer.
- Add Top Layer: Place the top half of the Hawaiian rolls on top of the layered ingredients in the baking dish.
- Prepare Topping & Bake: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the top of the rolls. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Finish Baking: Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven, slice into individual portions, and serve warm for the best taste.
Notes
- You can substitute cooked bacon or ham instead of sausage for variety.
- Adding sautéed bell peppers or onions inside the sliders can enhance flavor and texture.
- These sliders can be fully assembled the night before and baked fresh in the morning for convenience.
