Ingredients
Scale
Roasted Garlic
- 2 heads of garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Dip Base
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Protein and Garnish
- 4 ounces cooked and finely chopped beef
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
Topping
- 1/4 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for roasting the garlic.
- Roast Garlic: Slice the tops off the two garlic heads, drizzle them with olive oil, then wrap them tightly in foil. Roast in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until the garlic cloves become golden, soft, and fragrant. Allow to cool slightly after roasting.
- Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and black pepper. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
- Add Roasted Garlic: Squeeze the softened roasted garlic cloves out of their skins into a paste and stir this flavorful garlic into the cream cheese mixture evenly.
- Incorporate Beef and Chives: Fold in the finely chopped cooked beef along with half of the chopped fresh chives, mixing gently to distribute them throughout the dip.
- Bake the Dip: Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe baking dish. Place it in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the dip is hot, bubbly, and turning golden on top.
- Add Hot Honey and Garnish: Remove the baked dip from the oven and immediately drizzle the top with hot honey. Sprinkle the remaining chopped chives over the dip for a fresh, colorful garnish.
- Serve: Serve the warm dip with an assortment of crackers, bread slices, or vegetable sticks for dipping.
Notes
